How RACH points work

Once a dog has its Rally Excellent (RE) title, every score of 91 or better in Advanced B, Excellent B or Master earns Rally Championship points. The Rally Championship needs 300 points, at least 150 of them from Master, and 20 triple qualifying scores: qualifying in Advanced B, Excellent B and Master at the same trial on the same day.
Points per score
- 91 to 94: 5 points
- 95 or 96: 6 points
- 97: 7 points, 98: 8 points, 99: 9 points
- 100: 10 points
The title
- RACH: 300 points (150 from Master) and 20 triple Qs
- RACH2: 600 points and 40 triple Qs, and so on
- A qualifying score is 70 or more
Example
At one trial a dog scores 92 in Advanced B, 97 in Excellent B and 100 in Master. That is 5 + 7 + 10 = 22 RACH points, 10 of them from Master, and one triple qualifying score.

AKC points years and cut-off dates
AKC does not use the calendar year for everything. Titles never reset, but rankings, national events and the point schedule each have their own year. Checked against AKC on October 24, 2026.

Common questions
How many RACH points does a rally score earn?
Scores of 91 to 94 earn 5 points, 95 or 96 earn 6, 97 earns 7, 98 earns 8, 99 earns 9 and a perfect 100 earns 10. Only Advanced B, Excellent B and Master count, after the dog has its Rally Excellent title.
What does a dog need for the Rally Championship (RACH)?
300 RACH points with at least 150 of them from the Master class, and 20 triple qualifying scores. RACH2 needs 600 points and 40 triple qualifying scores.
What is a triple qualifying score?
Qualifying (70 or more) in Advanced B, Excellent B and Master at the same trial on the same day. Two trials on one day count separately, so each needs its own three qualifying scores.
