Common questions
How many starters make a lure coursing major?
It depends on the breed and, for Whippets, Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Borzoi, the region. Most breeds need 4 starters for a 3-point first place.
Do second and third place earn points?
Yes: second earns 3, 2 or 1 when first is worth 5, 4 or 3, and third earns 2 or 1 when first is worth 5 or 4.
What is an LCX?
Lure Courser Excellent: 45 more points from the Specials or Veterans stake after the FC. Each 45 more adds a number.
