How Puppies Earn the Puppy of Achievement (POA)
The Puppy of Achievement is a first goal for show puppies. Points come from Beginner Puppy competition and the regular puppy classes, so young dogs can be recognized before they compete for championship points.

Common questions
How many points is a puppy class first worth?
A first place in the 6 to 9 month, 9 to 12 month or Bred-by-Exhibitor puppy class earns POA points; the POA calculator shows the value for each win.
Does the POA count toward a championship?
No. POA points are separate from championship points.
Is POA a title?
It is a certificate AKC awards, not a title that goes in front of the dog's name.
